The Mortgage and Insurance Shop (UK) Limited, formerly The Mortgage Shop, was founded by Jeanette Stephenson in 2005, following her resignation as Head of Mortgages for a national firm of financial advisers. She personally handled mortgages for in excess of 1000 clients a year, and oversaw many more. A large number of her clientele are directors and senior executives of FTSE-100 companies, although she is just as happy dealing with not so affluent first time buyers!
She qualified as a general holistic financial planner in 1999, initialing advising on all aspects of clients financial affairs. Since 2003 she has specialised in residential and commercial mortgage and protection advice and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in these areas. In order to ensure that her clients receive advice in all areas of their financial planning, Jeanette and her team are able to recommend reputable, experienced advisers to assist with pension and investment advice.
As independent mortgage and protection advisers they are able to advise on all mortgages available in the UK market place, and also a number of offshore companies. They understand when clients have had previous credit issues and these cases are dealt with sympathetically and professionally to ensure that a plan is in place to work together to repair poor credit history.
Jeanette has hand picked her team to ensure that a high level of expertise and integrity is available to her clients. The emphasis at all times is focused on delivering the most appropriate, cost effective solution to the client’s needs, in a timely fashion. The business is built solely on referrals from satisfied clients.
